Position

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Manager of Sales is responsible for supporting sales in the USA region, as well as to manage and direct the activities of the regional sales group in order to meet corporate goals and departmental budgets.


Role & Responsibility

Develops and maintains relationships with direct and channel clients.

Oversee, train and assist Support agents in his territory

Represent the company in establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with clients

Deliver sales presentations to key customers in coordination with technical support and other sales representatives.

Oversee customer satisfaction in their territory.

Assist in troubleshooting, customer issues re: service, maintenance, and warranty.

Assist in developing and maintaining a support system for end users

Attend trades shows and seminars

Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products.

Analyze and control expenditures of their territory to conform to budgetary requirements.

Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition as well as the marketplace.

Develop new markets and business opportunities in the territory

Assess needs for the product development in the territory

Assist and provide input into the continuous improvement of processes.

Provide suggestions for problem solving

Maintains an effective relationship between sales and other departments.

Occasionally extend sales to outside of the USA region


Education

University degree, or similar, in business, science, or engineering


Experience

5-7 years’ related experience in sales that includes responsibilities for territories, sales representatives, and client relations in the pharmaceutical industry an asset

Science and/or engineering background an asset

Good understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace

Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team


Special Note

Position will be based in North-East United States.

Incumbent will be required to travel outside of the United States.
