The Field Service Technician will plan, co-ordinate, and perform process to calibrations, repair, assess, build and test equipment or devices required to operate, monitor or control machinery.
This is a US based position and the candidate must reside in United States of America.
Role & Responsibility
Perform instrumentation calibration, testing, trouble shooting, and repair of pneumatic and electromechanical devices
Interpret electrical/pneumatic schematics used in conjunction with devices to be calibrated.
Provide customer support services SAT, IQ/OQ & training in use of O’Hara equipment as required during on-site visits.
Troubleshoot; diagnose problems, and corrective action involving replacement defective parts and machine components, reprogramming control system
Occasionally may be required to perform minor programming changes/ download revised PLC on-site.
Provide customer support services including on-site visits which entail troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical components of production equipment
Read, understand, and work according to company policies, procedures and supervisors instructions.
Maintenance and managing of the on-site "master calibration equipment," including the master list, calibration dates, repairs, service record and upgrades that may be required.
Perform equipment calibrations according to instructions/procedures, using the appropriate in-house master calibration equipment, including calibration records and documenting of deficiencies observed and corrective actions
Complete the “Preventative Maintenance Program” on equipment as scheduled and where necessary to achieve better performance.
Perform changeover, set up and adjustments as required by the Customer production department
Fabricate simple parts on lathe, milling machine, drill press and other machines to affect repairs to machinery/parts
Source and order spare parts and monitor spare parts inventory levels and write requisition as needed to replenish parts, supplies and components
On a daily basis, record hours worked against project work number.
Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
Recognized educational diploma in electrical and controls Instrumentation
3-5 years’ experience
Ability to read electrical/low voltage drawings
Good organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Incumbent may be required to travel outside of the United States.
